Each year, as the holiday season approaches, I reflect on how grateful I am for each of you and the positive impact you have on our customers, partners, and communities.
Because of you, hundreds of thousands of people have affordable transportation to safely get to work and school and visit family. Thousands of our neighbors have apartments to call home and convenient, accessible options for storing their sentimental and valuable belongings. Holiday gifts and other consumer goods can more easily reach awaiting customers like you and me, and families can travel and vacation together for rest and respite, knowing they will be greeted with top-notch hospitality at any of our hotel properties.
The work you do each and every day makes a remarkable impact for countless people, and, in addition to that, you have also once again acted with incredible generosity and caring toward those in our community. In this year’s Overflow Thanksgiving effort, our teams across The Johnson Group filled 231 boxes of meals that will take families through this long Thanksgiving weekend when many families who rely on their children receiving meals at school are at home for multiple days. Earlier this fall, you donated school supplies that contributed toward helping over 2,000 children in Spartanburg start school prepared for their academic year, and there are countless other ways you are individually giving back through other non-profit efforts that are personal to you.
I am so proud and appreciative of the positive impact our team makes on our communities and for our customers and partners, and I am excited for the year that we have ahead of us as we build on the strong momentum of 2021.
