ACA and The Johnson Group Complete a Third Habitat for Humanity Home

American Credit Acceptance and The Johnson Group have completed a third Habitat for Humanity home in Spartanburg, this time for Katrina Gray and her family.

Ms. Gray is a single mother of two and a teacher who has been working hard to provide a stable home for her family. However, with the high cost of living and limited financial resources, owning a home had remained out of reach. The Johnson Group’s sponsorship through Habitat for Humanity has allowed the Gray family to have a place to call their own, providing them with stability and security for years to come.

The home is part of an ongoing redevelopment project in the Northside community of Spartanburg. It was recently dedicated in a ceremony attended by ACA associates, Habitat for Humanity representatives, and other community leaders along the Gray family.

Nina Porter, an ACA associate and member of the company’s Toastmaster Club, spoke at the dedication ceremony. Expressing ACA’s pride in being a part of the project, Porter congratulated the Gray family and voiced her gratitude for being a part of the project.

I hope this home brings you as much joy and satisfaction as it did for the ACA family by helping build this home,” Porter said. “I truly hope that God blesses your home and your family.”

The dedication ceremony was a celebration of the Partnership between The Johnson Group, ACA, and Habitat for Humanity as well as the hard work put in by all involved to make the project a success. It was also an opportunity to recognize the impact that the completed home will have on Ms. Gray and her family.

ACA’s commitment to giving back to the community goes beyond Habitat for Humanity. The company supports various other organizations including the Hope Center for Children and the United Way of the Piedmont. To encourage employees to get involved, ACA provides paid time off for volunteer work and organizes various community service projects throughout the year.
