Across The Johnson Group companies, our team members find Fulfillment by supporting their colleagues and giving back to their community.
Veterans Day
This month, The Johnson Group hosted a Veterans Day breakfast with speakers from ACA, JDA, and OTO who shared how their experiences in the military have impacted their corporate work experience. This year, ACA also had cards so associates could write letters thanking veterans for their service. This annual tradition brings together all the companies to reflect and honor our veterans. Thank you to our veteran colleagues who have served our country and those who shared their impactful words with our team.
United Way
Each year The Johnson Group companies participate in an annual United Way Campaign, harnessing the collective efforts of our teams to support fundamental programs and services that work to better our communities. Annual campaigns for JDA and OTO will begin in December.
ACA ran its campaign during the month of September and continues to make a tremendous difference in the lives of those in need in the Spartanburg, Atlanta, and Boise communities. During their campaign, ACA associates donated $231,399 to the United Way, raising $6,399 over their total goal and setting an all-time ACA record for donation amount. The United Way turns every dollar donated into 5x its original amount. Thanks to the generosity of its associates, ACA created a community impact of over $1.15M! More to come following JDA and OTO’s campaigns.
Overflow Thanksgiving
Through a collective effort of all three companies, The Johnson Group filled 231 boxes with Thanksgiving meals for families this month. Thank you for your generous contributions!
Mentoring
Mentors make a positive impact in the lives of children, and in the past, many of our team members have generously given their time to mentor a student at Meeting Street Academy. Because of COVID, mentorship opportunities have been limited in the past 18 months, but the school is now actively seeking mentors to volunteer 30-60 minutes per week with a student, beginning in January 2022. If you are interested in connecting with a student in K5-5th grade and building a meaningful relationship, please reach out to Kathy Dunleavy (kdunleavy@johnsondevelopment.net) to learn more.
